Changing Things Up a Little Bit

Waiting on Christmas...
So, here we are in August and the Fall weather is surely right around the corner.  We may be just getting back to school, but now is the time to be shopping for Christmas.  Don't let your Christmas shopping bargains go to waste!  Dear friend, I once waited to the week before Christmas and paid way too much for the littlest things!  I couldn't believe the sales prices are actually higher than the normal prices!!  It's completely insane what stores will do after Thanksgiving day.  Start your shopping early, like NOW!...

Here's a plan...

  1. Get organized, get your list together of who you will need to buy for.  Because our lives change daily, it's best to write down who you will buy for ahead of time.  Don't think you need a list?  That's good, I always need one in case a friend will be coming to visit and I need to have those "unexpected" gifts 'just in case'.
  2.  With so many holidays between now and Christmas, there are still great sales.  Make sure you follow the sales flyers for not only the "great buys" and "end of season"*sales, but for great ideas for those on your list.  This is an excellent time to jot those ideas down on your Christmas list.  You will have the most thoughtful gifts that's for sure!  *Sometimes the "end of season" sales are items stores are likely pushing to get rid of to bring in more Christmas items.  And this is an excellent time to bargain hunt!!
  3. Don't just take the "great bargains" from stores trying to get rid of merchandise.  Look it over good!  It's likely that other stores are trying to move items as well, so look around and go back for the lowest price.  There are also online stores, like Disney or DC Comic Store that you might think, they're name brand and always way too expensive.  But wait!  Find coupons and savings codes that will bring down the price and it's very cost effective.
  4. Here's a few of my new favorite online stores for the "must haves" I'm looking for this year.
    1. SpongeBob Store  - My niece loves this cartoon!  So, I've got to impress her.
    2. Monopoly  - I loved this game growing up.  See what cool stuff is offered here! You'd be surprised at the items they're offering!!  Surprise those that seem to have everything!!
    3. Myth Busters  - Yeah, they have a store with really awesome gifts. Check it out.  I was amazed how cool their stuff looked.  Have teenage boys?  C'mon now!
  5. Now get that list finished up and plan to have fun shopping!  I'm heading over to Zazzle.com store to finish up on some of my shopping.  They have customizable items (a lifesaver!) and also work on my wish list there.  That's another great way to shop online.  Some online store's offer a way to save the items I'm wanting, so I don't have to keep looking them up over and over.  I just check back for the discounts and Bada-Bing; I'm off to the checkout with all the things I wanted!
Happy Planning, Shopping and Christmas Present Impresser!!
